Actually they just removed one dam last week.  It was cool to watch.  Of course I don't think the people on the former lake care for their new mud banks.

That was my old "stompin' grounds". Lived NE of Vancouver WA. towards Mt. St. Helens, for 19 years.

The White Salmon was always a tough river to fish, but when it was hot, man was it HOT!.

Jeff, what did you fish for?  And use?  I'm assuming salmon when they were running???  You and I should plan a trip next spring to the North Shore and trout/salmon fish all the rivers running into Lake Superior.

Steelhead, Salmon (many varieties, many methods) Hardest damned fish I ever attempted to catch. Took me many years to actually land my first. I am a largemouth bass fisherman at heart, so trout, steelhead (trout, NOT salmon), and salmon were like learning Manchurian when you have A.D.D.!!!

When is the thaw up there?? Only problem is all my Salmon and Trout gear is still in WA. I'll have to go through what I do have here, and see if I can piece together the basics.
