Hope things go well for you, Marcel. Before prescribing my blood pressure medicine, the Doctor told me to first try losing some weight, giving up beer and fried foods. I told him just give me the medicine. That other stuff just sounded too painful. ..Seriously, take care of your blood pressure-that is serious stuff.

Well Mike, I stopped smoking a year ago, need to lose about 5 pounds never eat fried foods, never salt my food, and I will be dam, if I give up my cold beer after work.  ;D

good for you, buddy, for quitting smoking. I've been "trying" for years. I tried the patches once, but I couldn't keep the dam things lit! >....I now have the E cigs, taste like crap, but supposedly safe. I married one of the last ole fashioned country gals that loves to cook, and yes, fried chicken, fried pork chops, her homemade lasagna, etc., is why I'm 20 lbs overweight...My beer has no role in it ;D. Hopefully my trying to quit smoking will not lead to her death (or mine)...
By the way, I think I'm winning "Last One to Post" so far.....

Good luck Mike on the smoking. It sure was a difficult task for me to undertake.
Still think of it, but the urges are pretty well gone now.

Did it with Chantix. The patches did not work.

Took 4 trys with the Chantix and the last time, took them for 4 months. 2 months after I stopped, just to make sure I did not fall off the wagon.

Oh, and that is why I am 5 lb.'s overweight, so get ready for more.  ;D

Don't worry, Marcel, you're probably not overweight. I think the doctor thinks, at 52, and 6 ft tall, I should be in the body I was in at 30. I weigh about 205. Mostly belly, which will work off this spring and summer when I'm doing 6 inspections per week in crawlspace and attic. I tried Chantix a few years back, only till the first Rx ran out, and it did seem to be starting to work. Funny how the commercial says it can cause "strange dreams". I think all dreams are strange ??? Anyway, good luck to ya..
