TOPIC: Home Advisor

I just signed up for a trial this past Friday with Home Advisor.  I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this company and if so...how did it go for you?  Me being fairly new to the industry, I am willing to try anything once to get my phone to ring but would like some advice before I get too involved with something I might should avoid!

Tracy, I found that Home Advisor didn't really work in my area. It may be good for GC's or HVAC guys, but I found I got numerous calls that were either out of my area, "price shoppers", or just completely bogus (name/phone number/contact info invalid). Then you get a bill for each time your phone rings.  IMHO it's better to spend advertising dollars elsewhere. You can always get a friend or relative to call if you just want to hear your phone ring with no results. ;D

Thanks for the info.  I got my 1st lead from them yesterday and booked it.  Haven't heard anything else but $12.85 spent and $350 earned sounds good to me.  I'll keep updating as time goes by.  Thanks...

That sounds good, Tracy. That's about what they charged me. I think I booked two inspections from about 8 calls. I had them decrease my zone to only my zip code, and haven't had a call since (October).
It may work good in your area, at least until you get to where your website is generating more leads.

I did sign up for it as well. I have had 7 calls and booked 1. They were all price shoppers. Im on the fence with them so far.

How long have you been signed up?  That one lead is all that I've had so far but it's only been about a week!
