TOPIC: Upload service

Hi Dave,
  I have used the upload service for at least 100 inspections. I have had a few instances where the Realtor had a rough start. It was usually because they were impatient or something at their end wasn't correct. Both times I was out in the field & Dominic took care of it ASAP! The Realtor s were amazed at the quick tech support & after a few more inspections it helped clench the sale of a larger clientele.
  However there are a few die hards, & no one likes change so I still print & deliver to certain clients.
In my "opinion" the upload service has increased my business (well, besides the best inspection in S.E.Idaho) & I use it as a key selling point when I do presentations.

You bring up a good point.  I don't rely solely on the upload service to deliver the report.  I use it as a bonus.  I tell people I my report is online for them to view or print as they see fit.  But I tell them that if they still want a hard copy I will print one out for them and give it to them.  I have only had one person want the hard copy.  But then again, we all know how many inspections I have done.  lol 

After revisiting this subject, I figure it is fine ,and one can always just forward the direct link from the upload .

Personally I like seeing when it has been uploaded though ,on our auto notification system.

If you e-mail a direct link ,it will always look like the client uploaded it.

Yes, if you forward the link you'll know it was looked at but it could be any of the people you forwarded it to. If you use the agent & client slot then you'll know the difference of who it was.

I like your idea last night of making I possible to upload to more than 1 client and 1 agent and track them all. Do others see a use in this? Is anyone else sending reports to more than the agent & client?

Also, the server was updated last night to send out the new agent emails. Dave, let me know how it goes with your next agent. They get a DIRECT link to the registration area now.

I will let you know how it works out.

I still want to change it so the Realtors AUTOMATICALLY get forwarded to the reports page, right now the have to click the Home Inspection Reports link. That's going to take a bit more coding, but I'll get it.
