Yes, a nomination thread only. Keep the thread clean with Nominations Only.
Discussions of a particular thread on a separte one.
Choose a winner via a poll quarterly and continue on to next Nomination thread for the next quarter. And so on.
Problem is, I know it will get screwed up by members responding in the thread meant to be kept clean with Nominations only.

I can say from experience, that considering all factors and scenarios, a Quaterly Award, leading into an Annual Award, would be the best program (at this time). If after the first year (or longer) it goes totally 'gang-busters', it can always be expanded to Monthly.

I would recommend Dom create an "Awards" section for all pertinant threads as there may be many over time, and it will help keep them organized, and easier to locate.

I would also recommend a "closed" section where Awards Committee members can have their threads for discussion and such.

BTW... Nice idea Casey!

So how did you vote? Monthly or quarterly?

I guess at this point a new poll should be started with "quarterly" as a choice.
