Have an idea and whant to know if anyone has done this, or if will mess things up in the program.
Since we have to report on materials and I also include "functioned normally at time of inspection" (FNATOI)when it applies here is my idea to speed up the data entry time. 1) Create a report w/out client info 2) Select FNATOI for all components 3) Select common materials (ie. Plumbing - copper, Waste PVC: Electric - Breakers/conduit: Interior - Drywall, etc) 4) Save report as "field notes" (or something like that) 5) When inputing data for an actual inspection - open the "field notes" inspection and save as "clients inspection" 6) Input additional/changed data into "clients inspection" Anyone try this? Essentially I'd default everything to FNATOI and change it as needed. Would I loose my "field notes" report if I save it as a different name? TIA |

Problem is that you'd lose any new narratives since saving the template would never affect the 'field notes' report as it would maintain its own template.
I do have a feature on the to-do list to allow comments to be pre-selected on a template though. |

Could I save it as both?  First as client report, then feild notes?
**added** hmmm...gues that would kinda defeat the puropse. |

If you really want to save time you could put all material comments into one section and leave all the rest for defects only.

How's that working for you Bob? Did you get a template done that works that way. I know you were working on it.

That's not really what I was going for. I was looking to have them pre-selected, so i dont have to click on the materials at all. I look forward th the "pre-selected feature" |
