TOPIC: Notepad vs Textedit

Is Textedit on the MAC the same as Notepad on a PC? It appears that the Textedit is a little more sophisticated. I have been using it to create my pages and paste into the editor and it seems to work fine. Does it strip the format code like Notepad does?

Basically yes. It does allow a little more formatting.

Does it remove the formatting like Notepad does?

It removes most of it. Enough that there shouldn't be any problems with HIP or websites.
