TOPIC: Google +1 missing

I just edited the pages on one of my sites (changed the wording of my URL path) and I noticed when I went back to view my pages that I was back to zero on my Google +1 counter and also had no Facebook likes.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience or if there is a way to prevent this from happening before I edit my other sites.

happened to me on my Home Page. I had changed the URL, and then changed it back. My +1's went back to zero. I have edited other pages, but I think changing the URL starts you over in the google +'s

The URL path is what the sites are using as both those ranks are per page.
