Hey casey, I faintly remember that and miss it too, but now I get the grandkids. My Daughter has two boys. One that is nice and the youngest is the little Devil.  ;D

To be 10 again...I want to share my sons latest sports weekend.

Saturday evening, his team 3-1 (Gold Bees)is facing the 4-0 undeafeted, unscored on team for the past 2 years.(Buckeyes) Last year the Buckeyes won 28-0(Son did not play on this team last year)

This was one of the best football games I have seen at any level.  Score at half 0-0. We had the ball first and the Buckeyes decide to give us the ball to start the 2nd half(They felt they had a strong defense and these kids can only punt about 15 yards, with no return)

We had the ball for almost a quarter and a half in the 2nd half. Grind it out smash mouth 3-5 yards at a time, Ball on there 2 and ref calls a hold all the way on the other side of the ball.
Are kid dropped a pass in the end zone that hit him square in the numbers. We did not score. My son injured his thigh and was pretty well beat up, but continued to play.

Buckeyes drive to the 2 with 25 seconds to play. With no times out left they run 3 plays. (Refs again are somewhat screwing us) The last play the kid is down on the 1 inch line. 0-0 end of regulation.

First overtime. We score a TD, miss on the 2 point conversion. They score a TD and miss on 1 point conversion.
6-6 end of 1st overtime.

2nd overtime they score a TD and make the 1 point conversion. We score a TD and now trail 13-12. Refs state that this is end of game, you either tie or win. WE decided to go for one and they stopped us.

Final 13-12.

Dissapointed they lost but was and still am so proud of these boys and coaches as they played hard every minute and gave it there all.


Son beat up on Sat eve.  Starts basket ball practice last night, plays for 90 minutes, plays like an allstar, blocks a bigger kids shot makes strong plays to the basket and scores.

I wish I was 10 again. It takes me a week to get over a minor soreness.
