TOPIC: building inspection code software

Anyone familiar with a software programe (similar to HIP) that can be used by non government private inspectors checking for all building / code standards in new building projects

Why wouldn't you just use HIP? I know several others that have.

Need to be able to upload third party documents "ancillary certificates" for different types of building works which HIP can't do.

Example, for a new extension onto an existing building, different contractors will carry out different specialty works on foundations, drainage, radon barriers, etc, etc.

In addition to what HIP can do (have a section for each relevant area) I would also need to upload an "ancillary document" from each of these specialist contractors which will say that their works "foundations, drainage, radon barriers, etc, etc" have been carried out / installed, commissioned to code standards. This is in addition to my inspection of same.

Would what was discussed in this thread work for what you're trying to do?

No, that would not work.

It's more like a project management software that I require. HIP could be made to work if they had a facility to upload documents / pdf's to each section of the report like adding photo's. However, I was hoping that there might be a cloud type project management software already designed for this purpose.

For project management, you just need to integrate HIP and Inspection Support Network , aka ISN. Check out InspectionSupport.net.

You can insert PDF's into HIP using Adobe Acrobat.
