Very nice.  I would be a bit concerned about the fire chief's method to determine the flammability of the foam insulation.   I saw a demonstration; a small shed was insulated with spray foam.  A garbage can with paper was placed in the corner and lit on fire.  The flames licked the foam for quite a while before it actually ignited but once it lit up, the fire spread so fast it was scary.
His method of trying to light a hunk he hacked out of the wall is suspect. Not a lot of surface area to burn. Kind of like taking a big block of wood out of a roaring fire; usually it'll burn for a bit yet and then just smolder and then go out. I don't think the conclusion would be that wood doesn't burn well. |
